Guerilla Science: FIGMENT
Participatory science-and-art festival programming I produced for Guerilla Science at FIGMENT during the 2017–2018 producer period.
What it is. Guerilla Science programming at FIGMENT, the free participatory arts festival, produced during my 2017–2018 Guerilla Science tenure as event producer alongside the NSF artist-scientist residency.
What I did. Event producer. The role was the same shape as the rest of the festival work: take science content and a residency cohort’s pieces and make them function on a festival floor for a general audience that did not come for the science. Production, logistics, and on-site support.
Why it’s here. FIGMENT is one of the recurring festival venues for the Guerilla Science model — participatory, free, audience-built — and part of the documented record of what I produced in that period.
